August. One hires Firefly’s expert in analyst relations

August. One Communications has hired Firefly Communications analyst relations specialist Asid Mushtaq to head up its analyst team.

The move comes as the company moves to consolidate its consumer and technology offering, after the merger with Joe Public Relations earlier this year (PRWeek, 6 June).

Mushtaq reports to August. One head of influencer relations Rebecca George, and manages three PROs.

He replaces Farlal Ameen, who left August. One earlier this year to move to Australia.

In his two years at Firefly, Mushtaq worked for Accenture, HP (prior to its merger with Compaq) and Sun Microsystems. Prior to working at Firefly, Mushtaq was EMEA head of software firm Novell’s analyst relations division.

He will now focus on analyst work for August. One’s key clients – Microsoft, 3, eBay, Galileo and Casio – as well as building input into other August. One accounts.

Mushtaq said August. One’s analyst relation would target research companies such as Gartner, International Data Group and Datamonitor.

August. One merged with Joe Public relations in June.
