Brown quit at the start of October after three years, and is considering her future after working out her six-month notice, according to CPN UK managing director Fiona Joyce.
CPN has created a new senior European role. It has promoted Pippa Evans, from UK director of consumer healthcare to European healthcare practice leader. This is a ‘move to re-enforce Porter Novelli’s global leadership position’, said Joyce.
‘We have more and more pan-European work, and Pippa’s new role reflects an increase in demand for fully integrated programmes, drawing on specialist skills from within both professional healthcare and consumer marketing,’ said Joyce.
In addition, Joanne Fensome returns from CPN’s New York office, where she worked in the North America healthcare division, to fill Evans’s previous job. Fensome will report to Evans.
CPN’s international healthcare clients include Eli Lilly, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline and Baxter BioScience. It represents healthcare clients on vaccines, dermatology, HRT, depression, cardiovascular medicines and blood products.
Recent wins include the Government’s blueprint drug education strategy and the Elizabeth Finn Trust.
In a separate development, Steve Marinker has been promoted to be CPN UK consumer practice leader. He has been part of the agency’s senior management team for five years and leads teams specialising in food and nutrition, leisure and entertainment and consumer technology. These provide sector knowledge and consumer marketing.
