Fielden, a former Burson-Marsteller corporate PR manager, is charged with setting up the office and generating new business for the agency. Interprofit has already begun work for French insurer Europ Assistance and Dreams Palacio de Hielo, an Olympic-sized ice skating rink set to open later this month and for detergent company Reckitt Benckiser.
According to Fielden, the agency will hire five employees in Madrid this year, and hopes to expand to surpass its 25 staff in Barcelona within the next five years.
Advertising network EuroRSCG, which owns under half of Interprofit, will refer the agency to clients in Madrid.
Fielden reports to Roser Tiana, managing director for Interprofit.
