The agency has been appointed as the two firms integrate their PR strategies to target the British small- and medium-sized business market for the first time.
Fortis Commercial Finance marketing manager Narelle Kidner said: ‘A lot of our expertise is in European cross-border markets – companies that trade internationally. It’s targeting those types of companies where we will be working together.’
The work will be national and includes specific regional PR strategies, with the agency’s Birmingham and Manchester offices working on the account.
Harrison Cowley account director Caroline Feltham, who will lead the account from London, said pan-European work may later form part of the brief.
Meanwhile, Harrison Cowley’s parent company Huntsworth Group has acquired Harrogate-based PR and marketing services agency Adamson Ussher. The agency will merge into Harrison Cowley’s Leeds office.
The listed group has bought the total share capital of Adamson Ussher from owner Douglas Adamson for an undisclosed sum. Adamson will remain with the company.
Harrison Cowley MD Loretta Tobin will help oversee the integration of the two firms.
Adamson Ussher’s client list includes Du Pont, Lloyds TSB autolease, Rexam, WAGG Dog Foods, Harrogate International Centre and Whitby Seafoods.
