Herring to handle press at the third Inside Soap bash

Hachette Filipacchi UK, the publisher of magazines such as Elle and Red, has hired Taylor Herring Communications to handle media relations for its third annual Inside Soap Awards.

The appointment was made following a four-way pitch, which included two year incumbent Flagship PR. A four-strong team has now started work promoting the awards, which take place in September.

Taylor Herring will handle pre-event publicity, the event itself - including managing the press room - and post- event media relations.

Taylor Herring MD James Herring said: ‘This year promises to be the biggest ever for the Inside Soap Awards, with some of the strongest soap storylines yet. The event will undoubtedly be the highlight of the soap calendar.’

Media interest is expected to peak around the arrival and departures of celebrities at the awards. The event does not feature a formal ceremony and excludes journalists after 9pm, to allow the soap celebrities to ‘relax’.
