TTA awarded PR remit to promote swimming pools

Property specialist TTA Public Relations has been hired to represent the British Swimming Pool Federation in a bid to persuade homebuyers they can afford a swimming pool.

TTA managing director Tricia Topping said the key to the agency's efforts on behalf of its new client, which represents contractors, manufacturers, distributors and retailers of swimming pools, spas, saunas and steam rooms, would be to stress the affordability of what was once strictly a rich man's luxury.

Topping said TTA had been invited to pitch for the brief after the BSPF's main pitch process had taken place - and won a three-year rolling contract.

Figures from Certikin International, the largest manufacturer and distributor of swimming pool equipment in the UK, says the industry has grown 12 per cent year-on-year, 2001 to 2002.
