GLOBAL ROUND-UP: Bangkok PR appointed to help bankruptcy proceedings

BANGKOK: The creditor banks of cement producer TPI Polene (TPIPL), Thailand's largest unsettled bankruptcy, have appointed Bangkok PR to help communicate its position in one of the country's most closely watched bankruptcy proceedings. The banks - which include Bangkok Bank and JP Morgan Chase - are attempting to remove previous major shareholder Prachai Leophairatana and his team as plan administrator for TPIPL. Hearings at the Central Bankruptcy Court begin this month, with a decision expected by the end of April.
