DIARY: Buzzwords still plague the PR industry's offices

Another year, another call to clamp down on pointless and annoying PR jargon.

An Aziz Corporation poll has found that 60 per cent of company directors feel they are still plagued by buzzwords, with the figure rising to 83 per cent for PR, advertising and media firm directors.

'Let's touch base' was the most annoying phrase of last year, followed by 'no brainer', 'synergy' and 'outside the box'.

Hopefully the PR industry's David Brents will amend their vocabulary accordingly.
