INTERNATIONAL: Hyundai appoints Gadacz as global comms director

ESCHBORN, GERMANY: Korean car firm Hyundai has made two senior PR hires, appointing a global PR chief and European communications boss.

Hyundai Motor Company in Korea announced the long-awaited replacement for former director of global PR Steve Kitson, handing Oles Gadacz the post.

Kitson left earlier this year to return to the UK as head of PR and marketing for Motor Sport Development, which manages the Hyundai rally driving team.

Gadacz takes on the top PR role after 15 years as Korean correspondent for Detroit weekly Automotive News and Automotive News Europe.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Europe has appointed its first European chief of PR, based in Eschborn, Germany.

Ralf Kaiser takes on the newly created role, with a remit to lead corporate communications, brand development and reputation management.

He has previously worked as a consultant for Edelman and Burson-Marsteller.
