The consultancy, created in association with US-based Aon Corporation, will provide strategic advice on internal and external communications as part of a crisis management package designed to help companies through unexpected events.
Giuliani will be using the management consultancy set up last year, Giuliani Group, to service the offering, drawing on Aon's work in areas such as risk management and speciality insurance services.
The initiative will offer companies around the world a range of services, including pre-incident crisis communications advice, such as planning and training; threat assessments and security consulting; and consultation on the setting-up of crisis response centres.
'There is a tremendous need for corporations to prepare for any type of major crisis -- from a physical disaster to a product recall to sabotage,' said Giuliani, chairman and CEO of Giuliani Group.
Aon International executive director and head of crisis management Christof Bentele said the group had used PR consultants on crisis work in the past, including Burson-Marsteller and Hill & Knowlton, but was still in the process of deciding on strategy and consultants for the European region.
