INTERNATIONAL: Citroen promotes Larrieux-Pelegry to direct comms

PARIS: French car giant Citroen has promoted Veronique Larrieux-Pelegry to lead its communications department.

She replaces Bertrand Guerreau as director of communications following the news Citroen is to put Guerreau forward to become vice-president of the French automobile trade association, the CCFA (Comite des Constructeurs Francais Automobiles).

Paris-based Larrieux-Pelegry has been the second-in-command of Citroen's communications department since she joined the group in April 2000.

Since July of that year, she had been in charge of Citroen's media relations, its multimedia service and the Citroen brand, reporting to Guerreau.

As part of her new appointment, she also becomes a member of Citroen's executive board.
