MEDIA BRIEFS: Esquire editor is to leave in December after six years at the helm

ESQUIRE: Peter Howarth, editor of men's magazine Esquire, is to leave in December after six years at the helm. He is going to 'pursue other opportunities' outside the National Magazine Company. He had repositioned Esquire as a 'grown-up' title in the sector, avoiding direct competition with much bigger sellers such as Emap's FHM and IPC's Loaded.
