Austin Reed picks Yellow Door for UK marcoms and PR

Clothes retailer Austin Reed has appointed Yellow Door to handle its UK marcoms and PR for a brand relaunch in 2003.

YD - which won the account after an initial three-month project - replaces Austin Reed's incumbent agency of 13 months, Trew Relations.

YD's campaign will coincide with an £11m redevelopment of Austin Reed's flagship store on Regent Street, which will conclude next autumn.

In September last year the retailer hired Trew Relations on a consumer and trade PR remit (PRWeek, 28 September, 2001) after a five-way pitch.

In a statement, Trew Relations said: 'Trew Relations is not structured to provide a one-stop marketing service and it is therefore with regret that the decision has been taken (by Austin Reed) to transfer the business to Yellow Door'.

Marketing director Lisa Looker leads the YD account team, reporting to Austin Reed group marketing director Andrew Woodward.
