The international role sees Harding assume responsibility for promoting Dunlop squash equipment and Carlton badminton equipment, providing media information to the firm's affiliates and partner firms.
'It's a very general media relations service covering the players and products across the two lines,' he said.
The appointment rekindles a 12-year relationship between DSG and Harding, who had previously been retained by the firm's UK arm and international parent for nine and three years respectively.
Harding will support efforts to gain coverage for Dunlop's endorsement of players such as world number one and Commonwealth Games favourite Sarah Fitz-Gerald, and Carlton's sponsorship of Olympic medallist Simon Archer among others.
The work had previously been taken in-house at the end of Harding's previous involvement with the firm two years ago. 'I didn't replace anyone in the role. It is an area that was not being actively looked after in the recent past,' he said.
Harding reports to DSG group indoor marketing manager Paul Walter.
The appointment by DSG is the latest in a string of racquet sport-related appointments for Harding, who is retained as 'world squash media director' by three of the sport's governing bodies, and also represents the European Squash Federation.
He is currently venue press manager for the squash tournament of the Commonwealth Games, retained by the Games' outsourced media relations firm Matchtie in that capacity.
