McNally departs GPC for Brussels position at FedEx

Courier giant FedEx has recruited a new head of comms for the EMEA region.

Anna McNally has joined the firm's Brussels office with responsibility for internal and external comms and community relations.

McNally joins from GPC International, where she was a senior consultant in Brussels.

At FedEx she oversees three staff, in addition to 'on-the-ground staff' in major territories, including Cliff Morley in the UK and a yet-to-be-announced hire in Paris.

The firm retains Ketchum as its pan-regional agency, in addition to Trimedia for German work.

McNally said current PR efforts focus on putting together a PR plan for the next financial year, in conjunction with Ketchum: 'We're looking at developing community relations work and putting together a PR plan for our products and services. We're also working on and implementing crisis comms plans due to the type of work we do.'

McNally reports to FedEx marketing MD Petra Rittersberger. She joined several months after the departure of her predecessor Wendy Deyell, who is understood to have joined Levi Strauss, but was unavailable for comment as PRWeek went to press.
