Coleman-Smith to head marcoms for Cohn & Wolfe

Cohn %26 Wolfe has hired former Edelman PR Worldwide joint MD Ash Coleman-Smith to head its recently formed marcoms division.

Coleman-Smith, who left Edelman after a restructure last December (PRWeek, 7 December), joins C&W as MD of the marcoms unit, which will sit alongside the corporate, healthcare and digital divisions.

C&W UK managing director Jonathan Shore has created the marcoms division to house the agency's offerings in consumer PR, sports marketing, and youth branding unit Offspring.

Coleman-Smith, who takes responsibility for around 25 staff and reports to Shore, said: 'I'm also going to be looking at a range of new products and services that C&W can develop over the next two to three years, alongside moving into different market niches.'

Since leaving Edelman, Coleman-Smith has been working for a yet-to-launch sports marcoms business, The Accelerator Group, as a non-executive director.
