Midnight selected to handle Notting Hill Carnival media

Notting Hill Carnival bosses have hired Midnight Communications on a media relations brief for this year's event.

Midnight won a five-way pitch (PRWeek, 17 May) to land the PR remit for the event, which is held in August.

The Notting Hill Carnival Trust has briefed Midnight with providing strategic consultancy, management of the Carnival press office, media relations, event support and marketing services.

The account will be overseen by Midnight director Lindsay Edmunds.

Trustee Debi Gardner said PR will help avoid the crime that has plagued the event: 'The Carnival message is that people should come along and have a good time and leave any bad vibes at home.'
