Hard Rock hires PRCO for UK brief

Hard Rock International, well known for its themed Hard Rock Cafe restaurants, has appointed PRCO as its public relations representative in the UK. The agency has been tasked with increasing awareness of Hard Rock hotels and casinos in the UK, focusing on the brand’s expansion plans and initiatives throughout Europe. This includes promoting Hard Rock’s guest loyalty scheme, its club lounge room experience and a music amenity programme called ‘The Sound of Your Stay’.

New acquisition at Next 15

Text100 owner Next Fifteen Communications has acquired UK-based integrated digital agency Elvis Communications for £5.5m. The firm's CEO since 2013, Tanya Brookfield, will remain with the business, along with her management team, as it joins its new parent company. The UK marcoms group's full-year revenue rose 32 per cent last year, with four earlier acquisitions in areas including PR fuelling this growth.

Lotus wins Teletext Holidays

Online travel agent Teletext Holidays has appointed specialist agency Lotus to manage its brand PR in the UK. The agency’s remit includes growing Teletext’s presence and voice within the travel industry, while also seeking to establish the brand as a value holiday provider. Clarion Communications held the account previously.

Starhotels hires Brandman

Starhotels, an Italian, family-owned group of hotels, has appointed The Brandman Agency as its retained communications agency for Starhotels Collezione, a group of 12 of its most prestigious properties. Three are in London, one is in Paris and the remainder are in Starhotels' home market.

Medical brand hires RKM

Lumenis, a medical technology firm which provides which provides minimally invasive clinical solutions for the surgical, ophthalmology and aesthetic market, has appointed RKM as its PR consultancy.

Mason Williams checks in with new client

Lifestyle PR agency Mason Williams has been appointed to launch The Tamburlaine Hotel in Cambridge – a new 155-room deluxe city-centre property that is part of the O’Callaghan Group.
