PLMR signs on with Adecco
PLMR has been appointed as the UK and Ireland public affairs agency for The Adecco Group, the world's largest staffing and recruiting firm. The London agency has been appointed because Adecco "recognised the need for enhanced public affairs support... with issues ranging from Brexit to the challenges and opportunities of automation", according to its chief marketing officer David Malkinson. Adecco had not used a public affairs agency for several years. It has recently hired Octopus for UK and Ireland PR and Cohn & Wolfe for an international brief. Last week, PLMR acquired planning agency Snapdragon.
Fox's gets Together
Together Agency has been appointed as the lead agency for Fox's Biscuits, looking after core aspects of the brand’s marketing and communication strategy, including digital, social and PR. Having spent the past few years headlining their marketing with a character, Vinnie the Panda, the brand is now going through a subtle transformation underpinned by a new proposition, 'Lovingly baked since 1843'.
Lansons wins short-term lending body
The Association of Short Term Lenders (ASTL), the trade body that represents lenders who offer bridging, short-term mortgages or loans, has appointed Lansons to support its communications programme and annual conference, on a retainer basis. The ASTL, which has more than 30 members and a similar number of associate members, requires all members to sign up to a code of conduct that includes treating customers fairly and openly disclosing all fees. Lansons' longstanding brief with pensions provider NOW recently switched to Cicero.
...and takes chair of GCP
Global Financial Communication Network, the global network of specialist financial communications agencies, which includes Lansons in the UK and Intermarket Communications in the US, has rebranded as Global Communication Partners (GCP). It has also elected Lansons board director Shirley Collyer as chair.
GlenWyvis hires Impact
Scottish community-owned distillery GlenWyvis has appointed Impact Online to handle its social media strategy after a three-way pitch. The distillery will open on St Andrews Day (30 November). it has raised approaching £3m through crowdfunding and share sales.
