W Asia wins Kat Von D Beauty account

The PR firm will lead the beauty brand's expansion in Southeast Asia.

SINGAPORE: Kat Von D Beauty has selected W Asia as its PR agency of record in Southeast Asia.

Launched in 2008 in the U.S., Kat Von D Beauty is inspired by the creator’s tattoo studio and focuses on long-wear, high-pigment, full-coverage beauty products. Distributed in 25 countries, including in Southeast Asia, the brand is owned by Kendo, which controls a large portfolio of beauty brands.

W Asia will seek to grow brand awareness and manage PR activity for Kat Von D Beauty in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Annabel Fox, MD of W Asia, said that with its collections, disruptive approach, and "cult status," that brand is already in high demand in Southeast Asia, a region that is increasingly looking for something "unique and meaningful."

W Asia’s clients include Princess Yachts, Ce La Vi, and the Park Hotel Group.
