Rooster wins six-figure brief with Cyprus Tourism Organisation

Rooster has won a 12-month brief to provide UK PR services to the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO).

Work began at the start of May on the contract, which is likely to be worth in excess of £100,000 to the agency.

There was no incumbent agency. In 2011, Kallaway won a three-year UK PR brief with the tourist board. Rooster won the new brief following a procurement process that has taken 12 months.

Rooster PR will manage the CTO's press office and deliver a series of campaigns for it across the year.

Cyprus welcomed 99,503 UK visitors from 1 January to 31 March 2017 – a 3.6 per cent increase on the same period in 2016. The UK is the top origin of tourists to Cyprus, accounting for more than 40 per cent of its high of 3.2m arrivals in 2016.

It is the third win for Rooster in recent weeks - it has also won work with China Southern Airlines and a brief with the charity giving and crowdsourcing site JustGiving.
