Metia makes Martin CEO

The b2b agency Metia Group has promoted Andrew Martin (above) to the role of CEO. Martin joined the firm in 2005 as director of interactive development in London, before moving to its US business, most recently holding the role of US president and global COO. Founder Steve Ellis becomes chairman of the group. The firm has more than 130 staff across its London, Seattle, Austin and Singapore bases. Metia also hired a new boss of its EMEA business last month. Major clients include Microsoft, Dell and Intel.

Financial brief for FTI

Eckoh, a global provider of secure payment products and customer contact solutions, has appointed FTI Consulting as its retained financial comms firm. The FTI team is led by senior MD Ed Bridges. In the year to 31 March 2016, Eckoh had revenues of £22.5m, up from £17.2m the year before, and more than doubled headcount to 195.

Shortlist Media hires W

W has been confirmed as the retained agency of Shortlist Media, publisher of the weekly free magazines ShortList and Stylist. It follows the agency's media division working with the 170-employee media firm to launch branded content division The Shortlist Media Family in November. Other W clients include the Evening Standard and Unilever.

Trio join Brand Communications

Brand Communications, a London-headquartered PR firm focused on Africa, has taken on three new staff. Nabil Pruscini joins from The Clinton Foundation as country manager for Rwanda and regional representative for East Africa and the Great Lakes Region. Ahmed Elshawadfy joins from Emirates NBD Bank and is client project manager based in Cairo. Kattia Amar moves from a role in Paris to become an account manager in London.

Clifford French gears up for F1 activation

London menswear brand Farah has briefed Clifford French to activate their position as the official apparel partner of Sahara Force India during the 2017 and 2018 Formula One seasons.

Pier picks up two

Suffolk's Pier PR & Marketing has been appointed to handle UK PR for Irish yoghurt brand Glenilen Farm, and estate agency Fenn Wright.

Tile firm hires Magnite

Magnite PR has been appointed by tile merchant techtile London, as it steps up its commercial and consumer markets profile.
