NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has named Kevin Bell worldwide president, effective immediately, the firm said Wednesday morning.
Bell, based in the agency’s global headquarters in New York, is reporting to worldwide chairman and CEO Don Baer.
Bell and Baer were not immediately available for comment.
Bell is responsible for managing executives across region and practice group to drive growth opportunities throughout the firm’s worldwide network, which consists of 73 offices and 85 affiliate offices, together operating in 110 countries.
He is focused on building up Burson’s communications services for clients and developing the firm’s integrated comms expertise, the firm said in a statement.
Bell joined Burson in 2014 as global public affairs practice chair, following nearly two years at Maitland Political, where he worked with clients including Fleurette Group of Companies, NATS, and Spire Healthcare. Previously, he was regional president for the U.K., Africa, and the Middle East at FleishmanHillard and a founding director at Westminster Strategy.
Over his 25-year career, Bell has counseled clients including Aviva, BG, Procter & Gamble, and Tata Consultancy Services.
