APCO brings in Microsoft man

Kim Gagne, formerly a senior director of industry affairs at Microsoft, has joined APCO as senior adviser, split between its London and Brussels offices. He was most recently based in Brussels for the tech giant, where he served as the primary manager of Microsoft’s pan-European advocacy campaigns. He joined the firm in 2004. Before that he worked for a law firm, and the US Department of State.

Sun journalist to Zest

Geoff Webster, who was the deputy editor of The Sun for six years, has joined Zest The Agency as a senior consultant. The Kent full service agency took on former Sun royal correspondent Duncan Larcombe as a director in the autumn. He left the newspaper in November. He also worked for the Daily Mirror.

Wogan heads to Quidco

Cathal Wogan has been appointed head of communications at voucher and savings website Quidco's parent firm Maple Syrup Media. He was previously at PR agency Third City, and before that worked at the Post Office. His predecessor at Quidco recently headed to VoucherCodes.co.uk.

BIFA hires Bureau

Lifestyle agency Bureau has been appointed by the British Independent Film Awards to handle collaborations and b2c campaigns in 2017. The agency was founded earlier this year by Jeff Boardman and David Frost.
