Tony Hynes named Blanc & Otus CEO

He previously served as a partner at Burson-Marsteller subsidiary North of Nine Communications.

SAN FRANCISCO: Tony Hynes has joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies subsidiary Blanc & Otus as CEO. He is serving in a dual role as EVP of H+K.

Former Blanc & Otus CEO Josh Reynolds departed the firm in July 2015.

Previously, Hynes served as a partner at North of Nine Communications, a subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, since July 2014. He worked as a consultant at the firm for the 18 months prior.

Hynes also worked as an EVP in the technology practice of Weber Shandwick, based in San Francisco, and West Coast general manager at Bite. He also held roles at Hitachi Data Systems and Ogilvy Public Relations

Hynes has worked with clients including SAP, IBM, Ericsson, and Hewlett-Packard during his career, according to a statement from Blanc & Otus.
