Brands2Life hires digital chief

Brands2Life has appointed Alan Parker as MD, digital. He previously worked at advertising agency MullenLowe, where he was deputy MD. Prior to this he led Golin's digital and social team, and before this worked at Ogilvy Group. He will sit on the board and lead a digital team of more than 20 at Brands2Life.

Lester joins Good Relations

Rob Lester has joined Good Relations as head of crisis, reporting into corporate director Neil Bayley. He joined from Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where he was an associate director, at the beginning of the month. The former national newspaper journalist will work on clients including Telegraph Media Group and train company Southeastern.

Cancer Research UK appoints Kaper

Cancer Research UK has appointed integrated comms agency Kaper to inspire more people to leave a legacy gift to charity in their will. According to the charity, legacy gifts fund over a third of their research, but only seven per cent currently leave such gifts in their will. Kaper, a Top 150 consumer agency created as a joint venture with creative agency Karmarama, will create social media content and drive traffic to the charity’s website. The PR activity will be coordinated with an advertising campaign in February 2017, which will include TV, press, digital and social activity.

Makara hires Whitmarsh

Claire Whitmarsh has joined healthcare comms agency Makara Health as a director. She was previously a freelancer, before which she worked at agencies including Weber Shandwick and Cohn & Wolfe.
