Hussain out and Sheppard up at KPMG

Zoe Sheppard has been promoted to the role of head of KPMG's press office in the UK. It follows the resignation last month of Erfan Hussain for a role at Accenture. Sheppard leads a 12-person PR team, and reports to head of comms Sorrelle Cooper. Sheppard joined the firm in 2011. Former RBS chief press officer Hussain was with KPMG for less than two years, and is now media lead for financial services in Europe, Africa and Latin America at Accenture.

Amnesty comms chief advises agency

Thomas Schultz-Jagow, senior director of campaigns and communications at Amnesty International, will join marketing and comms consultancy Dissident as a senior non-executive adviser next month. The UK agency was founded in September last year.

Stand Agency's charity win

City Year UK, a youth social action charity that aims to address educational inequality, has appointed Stand Agency to increase its profile across national and regional media to support its growth targets, following a competitive pitch process.

The Shack brings on Pier

Suffolk agency Pier has been appointed by The Shack, an American-inspired ready meal range available in supermarket Iceland, to drive sales including through a #sharetheshack social media competition.
