PRWeek UK Awards Winners 2016: Young PR Professional of the Year

Jessica Smith is a driving force at Virgo Health and is helping healthcare comms make its mark at parent company Golin. The award is sponsored by Weber Shandwick.

Jessica Smith puts the ‘go’ into Virgo Health, where she has worked for the past four years and is currently a senior account director.

Described by her agency as being imbued with an infectious optimism and energy, as well as passion and unwavering belief in the value the industry brings to healthcare, Smith delivers "strategic counsel beyond her years, which, in turn, drives change in the way our industry is perceived".

During her time at Virgo, Smith has been credited with developing bold comms strategies and has become an ambassador for healthcare comms within the global network of the agency’s parent company, Golin. She is a driving force behind the agency’s growth and the services it provides to clients.

Smith is currently leading Virgo’s global strategy for its comms division. She also helped the agency make its mark within the wider Golin group by winning gold at the 2015 Golin ‘Go All In’ internal awards – the only healthcare entry to be recognised in a fiercely contested competition run alongside consumer brands.
