Revealed: Inside the dog-eat-dog world of PR pets

10 Downing Street has Larry the cat, while Lassie took canine communications to another level, but PRWeek has discovered that dozens of Britain's agencies and comms offices have their own pets, some more hungry for publicity than others.

A snippet featured in PRWeek's regular Flack on Friday article last week revealed that when agency W moved to its new London office recently, it was accompanied by director Sophie Raine’s five-month-old Dachshund puppy Harley, which has been adopted as the office animal.

News of Harley's role at W prompted Flack to launch an informal competition to find 'the cutest or most unusual pets in the PR industry' – using the hashtag #PROfficePets on Twitter – but little did we know that, by doing so, we were entering a world we had no idea existed...
