Sellotape sticks with Mercieca for social media
Integrated agency Mercieca has expanded its marketing activity with Sellotape to span social media. The brand chose Mercieca to launch its "Don't Come Unstuck" campaign on social, which includes relaunching the brand's Facebook, introducing it to Instagram and targeting influencers. The agency previously designed Sellotape's packaging and in-store point-of-sale branding.
Media Trust founder Diehl steps down
Caroline Diehl, founder and CEO of communications charity Media Trust, is stepping down after 23 years at the helm. She will leave her position in early 2017 and will continue to support the charity as its patron, while also staying on as director of the Community Channel. The search for her successor is under way.
Creston partners with media agency Goodstuff
Creston, the Nelson Bostock Unlimited, Fever and Red Door Unlimited owner, has formed a partnership with media agency Goodstuff that will see them make joint pitches for integrated briefs. Goodstuff and Creston’s 18 Feet & Rising Unlimited creative agency have previously worked together on House of Fraser activities. When working with Creston, Goodstuff will adopt the "Unlimited" suffix used by Creston’s agencies – it will be known as Goodstuff Unlimited.
Vectura hires Consilium
Healthcare specialist Consilium Strategic Communications has been appointed by Vectura, which develops inhalers and other respiratory products. The agency was taken on last month to deliver international financial and corporate PR services to the FTSE 250 firm.
Ibérica restaurant chooses Burt Greener
Spanish restaurant group Ibérica has appointed Edinburgh-based agency Burt Greener Communications to manage the PR campaign for its new Glasgow venture. Burt Greener will manage media, blogger and customer engagement for the site in Vincent Street, which opens on 30 September.
Virgo Health gets innovative with egg
InterPublic-owned healthcare agency Virgo Health has announced the launch of what it calls a "healthcare innovation hub", called egg. It is launching with two digital products, Prodigi and Trial360, which will be offered to clients and other healthcare firms. The new offering is launched by Chris Knight, who joined as a director a year ago.
