King's Clark joins VC fund
Susannah Clark, who has spent the past two years at online gaming firm King, has joined venture capital fund EQT Ventures as comms partner. Clark had also previously worked at MoneySuperMarket and several agencies. EQT has offices in Stockholm, Amsterdam and London, and has committed nearly £500m in investments in start-ups including Oden Technologies, Holidu, Min Doktor and Wolt.
Smiths Group appoints FTI
Smiths Group, the FTSE 100 global technology company specialising in products and services for the threat and contraband detection, medical devices, energy and communications markets worldwide, has appointed FTI Consulting as its retained financial PR advisor. It has worked with Cardew Group in the past.
Huie wins BAME awards launch
Jessica Huie Public Relations has been appointed as the PR agency for a new awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of influential public figures from BAME backgrounds. Hanover has appointed Goran Gotev, former adviser to the deputy prime minister and labour minister in Bulgaria, as a digital policy account director in its Brussels office. Gotev has also worked in the European Parliament and for FleishmanHillard, also in Brussels.
