Hillsborough families’ law firm hires Brazen
The Jackson Canter Group, the north west of England law firm that has represented some of the families of the Hillsborough victims, has appointed Brazen to handle its corporate and consumer PR. It follows a multi-agency pitch for the b2b and b2c brief. The law firm – which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, the Wirral and Merseyside – doubled in size earlier this year with the acquisition of Wirral-based Lees Solicitors.
KBC wins Visit West Hollywood
North America travel PR specialist KBC has been appointed by Visit West Hollywood, the tourism marketing organisation for the city of West Hollywood, California, to handle travel media relations in the UK. The initial one-year contract begins on 1 September and was won following a competitive pitch. KBC said the account win was its fourth in the past 12 months, the most recent being Travel Alberta.
KITE eyes up Manifest
New eyewear brand KITE has appointed Manifest as its retained PR agency, tasking the firm with providing strategic counsel, managing third-party endorsements and operating its press office. Founded in 2014 by three young serial entrepreneurs, KITE palns to reshape the eyewear industry and bring it into the 21st century.
Quantum hires Brigham
Pharma developer Quantum Pharma Group has hired Lisa Brigham as its corporate comms manager, a new role based at its head office in Burnopfield, County Durham. Brigham has held roles including corporate comms manager at Greggs and senior PR manager at agencies Gardiner Richardson and M&C Saatchi Group. She most recently held an interim role at Tyne Metropolitan College.
Source ups Phillips
Leeds-based Source Marketing Communications has promoted Martha Phillips to the role of director. Martha joined the agency in May 2015, having previously worked as PR and campaigns manager for the National Apprenticeship Service.
