Michael Murphy joins Interel

Michael Murphy, formerly global CEO of Grayling, and financial services veteran Patrick de Bellefroid have joined the board of global independent public affairs agency Interel. Murphy is tasked with driving innovation and business development, and de Bellefroid will provide financial counsel and accelerate global growth. Both become part-time non-executives at the firm, which has operations in more than 60 countries worldwide.

New business for Honda's Olaogun

Olawale ‘Wale’ Olaogun, the former marketing lead at Honda Motor Europe, has established Walex Business Consulting, which will offer businesses advice and support on how to pitch, negotiate, retain and manage clients.

John Doe hires Rik Salmon

John Doe Communications has appointed Rik Salmon as associate director in London, joining from M&C Saatchi. The firm's founder Rana Reeves, who latterly led its New York office, left the business suddenly last month.

American Golf tees up Brandnation

Following a competitive pitch, the agency Brandnation has been appointed by American Golf, Europe’s number one golf retailer, to handle all its non-golf-specific broadcast, press and online PR. It will also support the retailer's range of events including National Long Drive Championships.

SQN wins Yale

Sine Qua Non has been appointed by Yale Europe Materials Handling to act as the company’s lead PR agency for the EMEA region. The Henley-based agency won the account following a competitive multi-agency pitch and started working on the account effective 1 July 2016.

Chargifi hires Launch PR

Wireless charging service Chargifi has hired Launch PR to support its expansion plans. Launch won a three-way pitch for the business, which gives venues such as coffee shops, bars, hotels and airports the ability to offer customers wireless charging.

Parseq extends GLR contract

GLR Public Relations has secured a contract extension to deliver PR and social media management for leading business services provider Parseq. The agency started work with firm last year.

Limetree wins PARFAS

Oldham agency Limetree PR has been tasked with boosting brand awareness and increasing the online and offline presence of risk management company P&R Fire and Security (PARFAS).
