Citigate takes Portland's Mason

Louise Mason, most recently lead in the financial comms practice at Portland, has joined Citigate Dewe Rogerson as a director in its financial team. She has also previously worked at Buchanan and Walbrook PR.

Westminster Advisers boosts health team

Westminster Advisers has appointed new associate director Sarah Gullo and new account director Emily Cameron to its healthcare team. They arrive from Verve Communications and the office of life sciences minister George Freeman respectively. Both work under Jenny Ousbey, who joined from Lexington to head the health practice earlier this year.

New chair at CIPR benevolent fund

The CIPR's independent charitable fund iprovision, which provides assistance to current and former members in need, has appointed a new chair. Pat Gaudin is an independent PR consultant, previously comms manager at Chelmsford Council. She has been a trustee of the fund for eight years, latterly as deputy to outgoing chair John Brown. The new vice-chair is Annette Spencer.

Ministers join Message Matters

Edinburgh agency Message Matters has taken on two former ministers as senior counsel. Marco Biagi was formerly an SNP Scottish Government minister. Tom Harris was formerly a Labour minister in Westminster and led the Scottish Vote Leave campaign. Both are part-time appointments. The agency was founded in 2012 by Peter Duncan and Andy Maciver.
