RMS appoints Aspectus

Aspectus' financial services team has been appointed by global catastrophe risk modelling company RMS as its comms partner for the UK and the US, with a brief including content creation, campaigns, media relations, social media and event support.

H+K promotes in Brussels

Hill+Knowlton Strategies' Brussels operation has made chief executive Thomas Tindemans chair of the office, while chief operating officer Melanie Faithful Kent succeeds him as CEO. Kent had joined the firm in the Middle East in 2002. Tindemans had been Brussels CEO since 2012.

Wins for BIG

The Aberdeen office of the Big Partnership has been appointed by three new clients. Local social enterprise Elevator has awarded the firm a 12-month contract, the oil and gas conference SPE Offshore Europe has tasked the firm with promoting the event next year, and The Bahrain Petroleum Company has engaged the firm to provide four weeks of PR training to senior executives.

IoF enlists Connect

The Institute of Fundraising has appointed Connect Communications to a brief to build awareness of the importance of charity fundraising. The win is among a number announced by the agency today following last month’s MBO. Others include: the Builders Merchants Federation; Habinteg Housing Association; The Housing Fringe, a scheme to promote housing associations at political party conferences; and The Good Hotel, on a brief to build support for a new floating hotel.

JPES taken on by ETP firm

Investment marketing and comms consultancy JPES has won a competitive pitch to provide UK PR and media relations services to exchange traded products (ETP) provider ETF Securities. JPES said it would position its client as the "preeminent thought leader in the ETP space".

Skincare firm hires RKM

British-made skincare brand ARK has appointed RKM Communications to manage its PR and social media.

W promotes Sophie Raine

W has promoted Sophie Raine, the head of the agency's brand division who joined in 2014, to the role of director.

Nudge's yoghurt brief

Nudge PR has been appointed by Only By Nature, a frozen yoghurt product sweetened with Stevia, which is currently stocked by Waitrose and will be available in Tesco from June.
