PRWeek UK 30 Under 30 2016: Bobbie Davies, Grayling

Another PR professional with big responsibility from a young age, Davies (29) took over management of Grayling's Wales office aged 25, advising clients including BT Wales and the European Commission.

Davies' talents have been recognised widely; her work with Hilton Worldwide led to an invitation to co-chair a business advisory panel.

The biggest misconception about PR is... in public affairs, the biggest misconception is probably that lobbyists have absolute power to alter politicians’ minds.

I couldn’t live without… a pen and paper. As old-fashioned as it may be, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to exist without my Filofax and a pen.

My biggest inspiration is… as a public affairs consultant, I feel I ought to cite an inspirational politician – Betty Boothroyd and Theresa May spring to mind. The honest answer is Sara Jones, one of my first managers when I joined Grayling in Cardiff.

In five years’ time I want to be...
listed in the PRWeek 35 under 35 (the campaign to create that starts now). In seriousness, I would like to be the head of a department, whether in-house or at an agency.

Nominator says: "Bobbie has every attribute required of a top class consultant."
