Rbb Communications acquires ad agency OutOfTheBlue

The deal follows rbb's acquisition of SpiderBoost Communications last month.

MIAMI: Rbb Communications has acquired advertising and creative design agency OutOfTheBlue. The agencies have been working on the deal since the beginning of the year.

The two agencies have worked together in the past, according to a blog post by Tirador. OutOfTheBlue has clients and experience in the financial, hospitality, cruise, healthcare, retail, and restaurant industries. The agency was founded in 2001.

Last month, rbb acquired SpiderBoost Communications, a digital agency based in Miami. Other agencies part of rbb are are Gibbs-rbb, a joint venture with G & S Business Communications, and Digital Park.

"They’re a great complement of skills and expertise," said Lisa Ross, president of rbb. "We see it as 1+1=3 because it gives us greater depth of creative talent and it's great culture fit for the agencies."

"It also strengthens our overall hispanic practice, because the OutOfTheBlue folks are bilingual," Ross added.

Rbb, also based in Miami, rebranded last September from rbb Public Relations to rbb Communications. The agency works in the consumer products/services, travel and leisure, health, sports and entertainment, professional services, and higher education industries. The firm’s clients include Bank of America, Hampton, Kaplan University, and Thomson Reuters.
