Robin Tozer will arrive at the end of August from the corporate comms team at Sky, in the role of group head of corporate comms. He has previously worked in-house at Prudential and Barclays, and for agencies Brunswick and Bell Pottinger, according to LinkedIn.
Tozer's boss at Sky, 16-year company veteran Robert Fraser, will also leave the broadcaster in the coming months, PRWeek reported last week. Macandrew herself left Sky 11 months ago.
Alexandra Phillips will join Thomas Cook at the end of June as group head of internal comms, having previously been group head of internal and aviation comms at rival travel operator TUI.
In addition, G4S' Matt Magee will join as corporate comms manager next month, and Jill Duffell recently joined as senior PR manager following stints at the Australian Tourist Board in London, Visit England and agency Rooster.
Macandrew told PRWeek the new hires would form part of a single external comms team, superseding the previous structure with its split between UK and group comms.
These are the latest in a string of hires by Macandrew, who arrived at the comapny in November. A new head of public affairs will join in July, and the agency Freuds has also been briefed by the company.
