Rentplus, which provides a flexible route to home ownership by offering affordable homes initially as rentals, has appointed Instinctif Partners as its comms adviser to promote its model to audiences including local authorities, central government, housebuilders and the public. Instinctif Partners will embark on a multichannel comms strategy that includes content origination, events, capital markets and political comms, digital and social media and film and production activities.

Lansons' health hire

Lansons has recruited Kate Aldous as associate director to join the healthcare team. She arrived last week from Red Door Unlimited, where she worked with clients including Sanofi, Astellas, Pfizer, Novartis, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Lily and AstraZeneca. She will report to recently promoted joint MD Scott McKenzie.

VFS hires comms chief

Peter Brun has been appointed chief comms officer for outsourcing and tech services firm VFS Global, a subsidiary of Switzerland's Kuoni Group. He will join the firm on 1 July and be responsible for corporate comms, marketing and branding and CSR, and based at the firm's Dubai HQ. He has worked at parent firm Kuoni since 2005, before which he spent 17 years as a journalist, editor and then executive in the media industry.

Avocado launches beer

Food and drink specialist Avocado Media has been appointed to handle the UK launch of Goa Premium Beer. The beer is gluten free and endorsed by the charity Coeliac UK. The beer is Portuguese-inspired but made in India and imported to the UK.
