Global independent PR agency network PROI Worldwide has appointed Richard Tsang as its new global chairman, the first ever from Asia since the network’s inception in 1970.
Tsang is founder and CEO of Strategic Public Relations Group, Hong Kong’s largest PR agency with more than 300 employees working in nine offices across Asia-Pacific. He was listed in PRWeek’s Global Power Book 2015.
From 2009 and 2012, Tsang was PROI’s APAC vice chairman, before becoming APAC chairman of the network’s global development group.
He takes over as global chairman from Andreas Fischer-Appelt, owner and managing director of German PR agency FischerAppelt.
"I am extremely honoured to be the first global chairman to come from the APAC region," Tsang said.
"As the new chairman, my mission will be to help PROI Worldwide scale new heights by developing it into one of the world's most recognisable brands."
