Way to Blue brings Super Bock to UK
Eight-site global agency Way to Blue has been appointed to handle UK trade and consumer PR for a launch of Portuguese beer Super Bock. The agency said it was the leading beer brand in Portugal. Alan Twigg, who joined the agency in March and will lead the account, said the brand was "all about conviviality, friendship and the Portuguese way of enjoying life".
Rain recruits campaign director
Rain Communications has taken on Kaye Woodhouse as campaign director, working across a number of accounts within the retail and destination sectors. She joins from tourist board VisitEngland and has also worked with lifestyle brands for media firm Time Inc.
Edelman's health hire
Alison Dunlop, previously of Weber Shandwick and Chandler Chicco, has joined Edelman UK as head of health engagement. She will work with clients to "provide solutions aimed at fully engaging consumers who take an active role in making positive health decisions", a company statement said. She will report to health brands MD Ann Bartling.
Zeitgeist launches HMV Digital drive
Zeitgeist has been appointed by HMV Digital to highlight the retailer's download business with summer festival goers. The five-month campaign involves HMV creating exclusive playlists for ticketholders, with festivals and HMV promoting each other's products to customers.
M&C Saatchi hires Movember man
M&C Saatchi PR has taken on Dan Cooper as a director in the firm's London HQ. He had been freelancing for the agency since February. Prior to this he led comms for Three Mobile and before that launched the charity Movember Foundation across Europe in 2014.
Relate's new comms chief
Relationships charity Relate has appointed Huw Thomas as director of policy, information and comms. He will join Relate in June from the University of East London, where he is currently associate director responsible for marketing services and fundraising. Before this, Huw worked for the Big Lottery Fund.
Tech PR agency CCgroup has been taken on by web firm CDNetworks to manage its UK PR and support its SEO, pay-per-click and sales lead generation. CDNetworks provides the technology, network infrastructure and customer services for secure delivery of internet content and applications. CCgroup said its new client was an established brand in the US and APAC, and needed to push further in the UK.
