Independent global PR agency network PROI Worldwide has announced its first member from Malaysia in Priority Communications.

Priority joined the network after meetings in March with Jean Leopold Schuybroek, PROI Worldwide director of global development. The network has been actively seeking to grow its presence in Southeast Asia.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Priority provides strategic communications consultancy to a range of local and international clients, growing organically to become Malaysia’s largest local agency.

"As the company celebrates its 20th anniversary in Malaysia, Priority believes there are tremendous growth opportunities in the evolving communications landscape, and we look forward to working collaboratively with our partner agencies around the world and scaling new heights with PROI," said Elaine Chuah, Priority executive director.

Andreas Fischer Appelt, global chairman of PROI Worldwide, said: "Malaysia is an important part of PROI Worldwide’s ASEAN footprint and Priority Communications will be an integral part of our client services team.

"Priority’s broad base of expertise and experience with various client sectors will complement our existing and new PROI Agencies in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, The Philippines and Indonesia".
