NEW YORK: CA Technologies has named Darlàn Monterisi to its top comms role, SVP of corporate communications, the company said Thursday morning.
Effective May 9, she will be based in New York and report to CMO Lauren Flaherty.
Monterisi will lead the software company’s global corporate communications and oversee efforts to deliver corporate and product messages to the company’s key audiences, CA said in a statement.
Monterisi’s most recent role was partner and MD at Porter Novelli in New York, after joining the agency in 2011 as client relationship leader for HP. Previously, she was global PR director at Rockstar Games and served in the Marine Corps as a spokesperson and public affairs officer.
Last June, CA Technologies brought on former GE Healthcare CCO Jeff DeMarrais as SVP and CCO, also reporting to Flaherty, but he left the company in February to join IBM as VP and chief external relations officer. Previously, the top comms role was held by Ronald Alepian, who left the company last May.
"We appointed Erin Osher as deputy MD of our New York office two years ago," said Porter Novelli CEO Brad MacAfee. "[Osher] will continue to lead the office while we search for a managing director."
CA has 11,600 employees around the world and annual sales of $4.3 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal.
