Ogilvy Pride's new senior team

Ogilvy Pride, the agency of the Ogilvy Group that helps clients target LGBT consumers, has hired a new head and two deputies, writes PRWeek sister title Campaign. Sam Pierce, global business partner for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, replaces Andrew Barratt, an account executive at Ogilvy PR, as head of Ogilvy Pride. Barratt founded the agency last year and according to his LinkedIn profile, joined Unilever in February as global digital – Dove, Personal Care. Michael Breen, the digital account director at Geometry Global, and Alex Canthal, a business director at O&M, have joined as joint deputy heads of Ogilvy Pride.

Grayling hires ex-MP

Grayling has hired former Conservative MP Angie Bray as a senior adviser. Bray, a former parliamentary private secretary who has also served on both the Transport and Culture, Media and Sport committees, will provide strategic counsel and advice to the public affairs firm’s clients.

Board change at WPP

The board of WPP has appointed Nicole Seligman as its senior independent director, with immediate effect. Seligman joined as a non-executive director of WPP in January 2014. Lawyer and former journalist Seligman serves on several other boards, and stepped down from a role at Sony last month.

Belize Tourism appoints Brighter

The Belize Tourism Board has appointed The Brighter Group as its European PR agency following a competitive pitch. The main focus of the initial campaign will centre on the UK, with secondary markets including France and Germany. The agency is set to focus on the English-speaking Central American nation's range of attractions and credentials as a sustainable tourism destination.

Spottydog brings in Michael Hobbs as chair

Michael Hobbs, a former retailer with more than 30 years of experience in senior and leadership roles at high street retailers including Adams Childrenswear, Sears Group, Laura Ashley and Mountain Warehouse, has joined the Birmingham agency Spottydog Communications as its chair.
