Heineken appoints Kingsday

Heineken has appointed Amsterdam-based integrated agency Kingsday to be its global digital comms partner for the brewer's Affligem brand. The appointment is effective immediately. Affligem is available in more than 30 countries. Kingsday "will be tasked with translating the richness of the Affligem story into ideas for the digital world", Heineken said.

Susannah Bosanquet leads McArthurGlen comms

Susannah Bosanquet has joined designer retail outlet operator McArthurGlen in the new role of director of comms and PR. Bosanquet has more than 30 years of PR experience, with the past decade spent leading her own agency in Milan where clients included Red Bull and Tommy Hilfiger. She previously worked in-house at Calvin Klein. McArthurGlen has 22 sites in nine countries in Europe, and Canada.

Wildfire wins Fuze

Global voice, video and collaboration provider Fuze has appointed Wildfire as its European comms agency. Wildfire will work hand-in-hand with Fuze’s media agency Pulse, on a remit initially covering the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Nordics.

Smarts opens in London

Belfast agency Smarts Communicate has opened a new office in London, led by new hire Helen Rainford, previously consumer creative director at Good Relations and formerly director at Cake. Smarts currently employs 45 people in Belfast, and a major win last year was a global account for whisky brand Johnnie Walker. Sister businesses in Glasgow and Edinburgh, also owned by MSQ Partners, are also being renamed Smarts. Smarts was 70th in the 2015 PRWeek UK Top 150 with fee income of just under £3m.

New agency from Lewis creative head

Dean Russell, the former EMEA creative strategy director at Lewis and previously FleishmanHillard's digital chief, has today launched a consultancy to help brands and agencies combine expertise in data insights, creative comms and business strategy. The new firm, epifny consulting, launches with clients including marketing and PR firm Bite Global, and the Direct Marketing Association.

Blueprint for Kin&Co

A Blueprint for Better Business, a movement set up to support and challenge business to be a force for good, has appointed comms and culture agency Kin&Co to handle integrated comms across 2016.

Equinox retains Welsh historic service

Cardiff agency Equinox has been reappointed for a further three years to deliver all marketing, PR and membership services to Cadw, the Welsh Government’s historic environment service. It was first taken on in 2012.
