H+K Strategies hires new China CEO

QC Liang joins the agency from TCL Corporation in newly created position.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies today announced the creation of a new position, China CEO, and has hired QC Liang to fill it.

Liang brings more than 25 years’ communications experience to H+K. He arrives from TCL Corporation in Shenzhen, where he spent nine years and was most recently assistant president and general manager of branding.

Liang was also managing director of TCL’s media and entertainment business, and has expertise in PR, brand strategy, sports marketing and advertising.

Before joining TCL, Liang worked for APCO Worldwide and FleishmanHillard.

"I am grateful for this unique and challenging role at H+K, at a time when there are tremendous opportunities to work with Chinese companies as they become leading brands globally," Liang said.

In his new role, Liang will be responsible for managing H+K’s operations across its Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou offices. He will report to Ye Yu, H+K’s APAC executive vice president and China chairman.

Yu said: "We need to continue to bring new ideas, new creativity, and new solutions to our clients and I look forward to working closely with QC as we continue to build H+K’s brand and reputation."
