Senior trio join Octopus
Tech-focused agency Octopus Group has made a trio of senior appointments. Late last month Gary Brosnan joined from Edelman where he was a creative director for brand, also becoming creative director at Octopus; and Lee Waite arrived to run a brand engagement division for both blue chip and fast-growth clients, having left We Salute You, the marketing agency he set up in 2014. Both join the board. This month Octopus also takes on Dave Montrose as head of design. Montrose had spent the past two years freelancing.
Ecosystem's new members
The Ecosystem, an independent global network of corporate comms and public affairs consultancies whose UK members are Powerscourt and Hanover, has welcomed two new members. Navigator of Canada works with more than 40 of Canada’s top 100 companies, while Gillian Gamsy International is a full-service South African agency with clients including Kellogg's. Right Guard appoints Frank PR
Deodorant and shower gel brand Right Guard has appointed Frank as its retained PR and social agency following a competitive pitch. The agency will deliver a series of online and social campaigns as well as handling all of its social channels and PR. The campaigns will be aimed at a male audience, centred around the brand’s 'Start Your Day Right’ concept.
New jobs for Lords
Among new business appointments for peers approved this week by the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments are the Conservative Lord Deighton taking up a non-executive directorship at Holdingham Group, which owns a strategic intelligence and research firm, in addition to other new roles chairing Heathrow Airport Holdings and a governance review of athletics body the IAAF.
Lib Dem Lord Foster of Bath, former deputy chief whip, has become an associate at lobbying firm Global Partners Governance.
Hairy Bikers appoint Promote PR
The Hairy Bikers’ Diet Club has appointed Promote PR, a specialist health and fitness PR agency, to raise the profile of the TV chef duo's healthy eating and exercise weight loss programme, and drive new members to the online club.
