Beattie hires Mondelez comms head

Beattie has hired Tony Bilsborough, head of UK comms at Mondelez International, to lead its team in Birmingham. Bilsborough joined Cadbury UK in 2004 and became head of external comms for Kraft Foods and then Mondelez International following the confectionery giant's acquisition in 2010. In his new role he aims to establish the Beattie brand in Birmingham.

Costa Coffee appoints head of corporate comms

Costa has appointed Esme Knight as corporate comms manager. Knight, who started in the role this week, joins from Australian PR firm Thrive. She will be responsible for corporate comms, policy development and crises and issues management. Knight will report directly to Kerry Parkin, head of CSR and comms. 

DMA hires head of PR

The DMA Group, the UK trade association for the direct marketing industry, has appointed Tim Bond as its head of PR. Bond joins from Diffusion PR and was previously at Hotwire.

Halpern wins KidZania

KidZania, an educational entertainment experience for children in London, has appointed Halpern as its retained PR Agency with immediate effect. The PR brief combines a traditional media relations programme with an influencer marketing strategy, meaning it will sit across Halpern’s consumer and digital teams.

Jones takes on Task

Task PR has been appointed to manage all UK press and publicity for British footwear retailer Jones Bootmaker.

VIP checks into Leading Hotels

VIP Worldwide has been awarded a contract to produce social media film content for luxury hotels group The Leading Hotels of The World, for a year-long campaign.
