Ogilvy PR Australia has announced that journalist and broadcaster Anne Fulwood has joined the firm as media director.
With a career spanning two decades in journalism, Fulwood is well-known in Australia as a national TV news anchor at both Ten and Seven Networks.
She also hosted both network’s Olympic and Commonwealth games coverage and the Telstra Business Awards for 10 years. Fulwood then set up her own consultancy, Fulworks, which focused on SMEs.
Most recently, she held various director of communications roles in the legal industry, as well as sitting on several boards.
She was also appointed Australia’s first representative at Women20 for the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Turkey.
At Ogilvy PR Australia, Fulwood’s role as media director will span across all six of the agency’s specialist firms.
Fulwood will provide strategic comms counsel on media engagement, crisis management and media training, while working closely with the content team.
She replaces Sam North, who is retiring after seven years in the role.
"Anne is one of the most well-known, connected and talented individuals in Australia. She has been a trail blazer for women in the media since her days as news presenter," said Kieran Moore, CEO of Ogilvy PR Australia.
"The team is excited to have someone of her calibre join our ranks."
