Good Relations launches broadcast PR division with Phil Caplin

Good Relations has launched Good Broadcast, with the firm's CEO saying broadcast PR should no longer be an 'afterthought'.

Good Broadcast will be led by broadcast consultant Phil Caplin, who joined earlier this month from Sound Creative, part of the Markettiers Group, where he worked with clients including GSK, Nationwide and Michelin.

The new business unit will sit within Chime-owned Good Relations, allowing it to deliver integrated broadcast media services for new and existing clients including broadcast interviews, podcasts, video releases and live streamed content.

Good Relations CEO Richard Moss said: "Traditional agencies tend to see broadcast as an afterthought in their ideas generation; with Good Broadcast we aim to integrate broadcast from the start by delivering strong TV, radio and online coverage, which remains one of the most powerful parts of the communication mix."

Caplin said Good Broadcast was "a unique hybrid model of broadcast consultancy combining the expertise and agility of a specialist agency with the strategic and creative resource of one of the leading marketing services groups in the UK".

Good Relations itself was incorporated into VCCP Partnership last year after the brands' parent company Chime was acquired by a private equity-led consortium.
